To mark the International Day of Light on May 16, the LUMES Research Centre of the University of Salamanca joins this global celebration with the launch of an outreach and artistic initiative that seeks to bring the science of the photon closer to all audiences.
May 16th, established by UNESCO, commemorates the first successful laser operation in 1960. To celebrate the impact of light on our lives, the LUMES Research Centre has launched a permanent virtual exhibition. This digital display offers visitors a journey designed to explore the various facets and applications of light from a scientific and visually captivating perspective.
