“Ciencia y Luz” Photographic Exhibition at Fonda Veracruz – Salamanca

From February 10 to 20, the Research Center in Structured Light and Matter (LUMES) at the University of Salamanca presented a captivating exhibition of photographs on optical phenomena and light effects captured by the camera at Fonda VeraCruz. This display brought together the best images from the “Day of Light” Photography Contest, organized annually by the Master’s in Physics and Laser Technology at USAL, with a scientific-outreach focus and open to the general public.

Optical Phenomena for Everyone

The exhibition showcased spectacular snapshots of rainbows, reflections, diffractions, polarization, and other luminous effects, captured by students, professors, and photography enthusiasts. Each image was accompanied by accessible explanations revealing the physics behind these everyday yet astonishing phenomena, turning the visit into an educational experience.
